VA 1248LG is a fused alumina-based dry vibratable refractory utilizing a spinel bond designed for coreless induction furnaces for melting steel. Utilizing high purity raw materials and a proprietary grain size distribution, VA 1248LG rams to a dense low porosity monolithic lining. After sintering, VA 1248LG exhibits positive permanent expansion which helps to seal the hot-face while providing a dense, un-sintered safety back-up. VA 1248LG exhibits good thermal shock resistance. The alumina-magnesia spinel bond has high resistance to chemical attack by slags. It has a relatively high maturing temperature and is sintered through the use of a melt-out form.

Benefits:
  • Developed with high pure raw material
  • Better thermal shock resistance
  • More number of repairs possible (e.g.10 patchings or more)
  • Higher chemical and slag attach

Utilizing high purity raw materials and a proprietary grain size distribution, VA 1251 rams to a dense low porosity monolithic lining. After sintering, VA 1251 exhibits positive permanent expansion which helps to seal the hot-face while providing a dense, un-sintered safety back up. VA 1251 exhibits good thermal shock resistance, has a high resistance to chemical attack by slags, relatively high maturing temperature and is sintered through the use of a melt out form.

Benefits:
  • Suitable for thin lining & furnace < 15 MT
  • Developed with high pure raw material for thin lining
  • Better thermal shock resistance
  • Perfect solution for Stainless Steel & Alloy Steel Melting
  • East to chip and patching

TA 1211 is a high alumina-based single component refractory ready-mix specially designed for making spout and topping application in coreless induction furnaces for steel melting. It is ideally designed for usage in the area above the metal level of the refractory-lined induction furnace, because it is difficult to obtain proper sintering temperatures in this area.

TA 1211 is a wet mix and is supplied in air-tight HDPE bags ready for immediate use. It is air-setting in nature and has excellent thermal shock resistance. It is to be applied by ramming. It can also be troweled or used as a patching or repair material. It has excellent adhesion with the refractory surface.

Benefits:
  • Topping material for Induction Furnace
  • Developed with lower sintering Alumina system
  • Less number of repairs than traditional silica
  • Compatible with Alumina based dry lining furnace
  • Higher strength & refractoriness helps to avoid top leakages
  • Less down-time

  • Replacement for the basic lining furnace

VA 150 is a fused-alumina based dry vibration cement recommended for both acidic and basic slag contact. This material has been designed for coreless induction furnaces melting stainless, chrome- and nickel- alloyed irons and steels or mixed campaigns. It is especially suitable for de-phosphorisation application.

VA 150 utilizes a spinel solid-solution bond mechanism which has high resistance to chemical attack by acidic and basic metal oxides and slag. It has a moderately high maturing temperature and is sintered utilizing a melt-out steel form.

When sintered, VA 150 forms a dense, highly abrasion-resistant hot face supported by a dense but un-bonded back-up layer. The resulting two-phase lining exhibits excellent resistance to cracking and spalling during thermal cycling – with the un-sintered backup layer dispersing metal fins and retarding their penetration to the coil, should they occur.

Benefits:
  • Suitable for De-phos treatment
  • Developed with double spinel system
  • Able to withstand higher chemical & slag attack
  • Can withstand both acidic & basic slag

CA 337/339 is a fused alumina-based refractory designed to be used as coil grout for coreless induction furnaces. The high alumina composition and density assure high heat transfer and protection from metal fins contacting the power coil. This composition maintains dielectric strength far better than silicate bonded grout.

Benefits:
  • Coil grout for Induction Furnace
  • Developed with high pure raw material & low iron content
  • Higher strength & density than other traditional products
  • Creates smooth slip plane in furnace lining
  • Higher resistance to metal penetraction
  • Higher thermal conductivity
